An example of a Jurassic Dolerite formation. Tasmania has the largest exposure of dolerite in the world of 30000 km2 and a volume of 15000 km3 (I bet you did not know this one...ahahahah!!!!). During the Jurassic era magma pushed upwards and surfaced forming tube like formations. There are very few places in the world where you can see this. It may not look very exciting but Geologists drool over this
